Sustainable Solutions looks for a better solution
Sustainable Solutions includes over a dozen community associations and other citizen’s groups in Ontario and Quebec. They have found common ground in a belief that the focus of the study to date has been dominated by the need to build more capacity for projected future peak period auto travel between Gatineau and Ottawa instead of solving the immediate and long running problem of 2500 heavy trucks per day travelling through downtown Ottawa streets. Their position is that this is unacceptable and a better solution must be found.

  • Who we are.

This blog was started by Ottawa residents concerned about the selection methodology for a new bridge and inter-provincial truck highway. Our research has led us to believe that Kettle Island is a bad choice for our region, yet we represent no particular group or neighbourhood. Anyone is invited and encouraged to participate in our blog.

Our goal is to reach 100,000 unique visitors in 12 months. Let the politicians know that you care about this issue. Please add us to your social network, website or blog. Post your comments or subscribe to email alerts today!
